Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty
Ashton Blaise Whitty, an actor, was born on the 1st of October, 1995 at Berkeley, California. Her most well-known role is for her acting who has appeared on screen in Choices (2011), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004), and Chrissie Mair's Content House.
Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into an extended family of actors and filmmakers. Both are careers she herself has taken up. Sogni e bisogni, directed by Sergio Citti and starring Asia Argento, at nine, was her very first film. The film featured her in a lead role as Cristina Comencini in her first film Zoo which was released in the year 1988. Michele Soavi directed The Church 1989. She played Nanni Moretti's daughter later in the year in Red Wood Pigeon (also directed Moretti) (1989). Close Friends (1992), directed and written by Michele Placido was the film that really launched Asia's professional profession. It was her first time moving from roles of a young girl to complex and mature roles. It was received well during the Cannes International Film Festival. Trauma was her debut film produced together with her father. Her mother Daria Nicoledi, is Argento's favorite actor. In Trauma she portrayed an anorexic seeking the killer of her parents. The Phantom of the Opera marks her third collaboration alongside her dad. The others are Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a Nozze demonstrated Asia's intense manner of performing. She played Arianna in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista, a role in which she was so intricate that she earned the David di Donatello prize for the best actress. Patrice Chereau was her director in Queen Margot, where she played a prominent role. In 1995, she collaborated with Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion , which again brought her a David diDonatello and the Grolla d'oro. In 1994, Asia turned her hand to filmmaking and made two short films: Prospettive In 1996 she produced a documentary about her father and, in 1998, one on cult director Abel Ferrara, Abel/Asia (1998) and won an award at the Rome Film Festival. Asia debuted as a director of feature in Scarlet Diva (2000). In this film, she also starred and authored the screenplay. The film released May 2000 both in Italy, and throughout the rest the world. The film won an prize in the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York. Anna Lou, her first child was born to her in 2001. She directed a number of music videos. In 2002 Asia appeared as a character in The Red Siren with Jean Marc Barr, and Rob Cohen's Action thriller, which was directed by Vin Diesel. Asia has also been the creator of a number of short stories published in many famous magazines.
